Protection Dogs are categorized according to the LEVEL of knowledge and training.
Keep in mind not all dogs can reach the higher levels of performance, so choose a Level based on what your needs are presently, and will be in the future.

 

LEVELS OF PERSONAL PROTECTION DOGS
What is your RISK situation. What are the chances you will encounter a threat, and how determined is that threat.
What do you need from your dog.
For some, all a dog needs to do is be a good family member, bark when needed, and be a presence.
Other dogs need more advanced capabilities, such as searching a home. Remember, all our dogs undergo serious training, so that you can rely on them when needed.
All dogs are also trained in agility and obstacles, to build strength and conditioning.
 

Level I Personal Protection Dog

  Basic Dog
Level 1 is for people with a low level risk.
Level 1 dogs receive basic training in obedience, with a very basic training in agitation (bark training). These dogs are perfect for a family that needs a dog for appearances.
 

Level II Personal Protection Dog

  Basic Dog
Level 2 is for people with a low level risk assessment.
Level 2 dogs receive basic training in obedience, with basic training in agitation, bite & hold. (No chase work) All work is performed on leash. These dogs are great for the family that needs a basic protection dog that is able to bark and apprehend a suspect.
 
Level III Personal Protection Dog
  Intermediate Dog
Level 3 is for individuals or families with a small to medium risk situation.
Level 3 dogs receive intermediate training in obedience, with training on and off leash. These dogs also receive training in chase work, call outs and distraction training. Intermediate dogs receive extensive training in scenarios to allow them to better handle defensive situations.
Level 3 dogs also undergo extensive agility and obstacle training to build drive, stamina and strength. These dogs can also be trialed if the owner wishes it.
 
Level IV Personal Protection Dog
 

Intermediate Dog
Level 4 is for families with a medium risk situation.
Level 4 dogs receive intermediate training in obedience, with training on and off leash. These dogs also receive training in searching, chase work, call outs and distraction training. Intermediate dogs receive extensive training in scenarios to allow them to better handle defensive situations.
Level 4 dogs also undergo extensive agility and obstacle training to build drive, stamina and strength. These dogs can also be trialed if the owner wishes it.
Level 4 dogs also undergo training in your home, to allow them to function in your environments.
Level 4 dogs also undergo training in vehicle defense, as well as apprehension and guarding of people.

 
Level V Personal Protection Dog
 

Advanced Dog
Level 5 is for families with a high risk situation.
Level 5 dogs are specifically chosen for their drive and performance capabilities.
Level 5 dogs receive advanced training in obedience, with training on and off leash, hand signals and silent commands.
Level 5 dogs also receive advanced training in tracking, searching, chase work, call outs and distraction training in multi threat protection situations.
Advanced dogs receive extensive training in scenarios to allow them to better handle defensive situations.
Level 5 dogs also undergo extensive agility and obstacle training to build drive, stamina and strength. These dogs can also be trialed if the owner wishes it.
Level 5 dogs can also be trained to detect substances as needed by the client. (Subject to approval)
Level 5 dogs also undergo training in your home, to allow them to function in your environments.
Level 5 dogs also undergo training in vehicle defense, as well as apprehension and guarding of people.
Level 5 dogs undergo training in firearms, knife fighting and fight drills.
Level 5 clients also receive training in personal defense techniques.
Level 5 students also undergo CCW (concealed weapons permit) training at a respected shooting range, with our staff as well as top legal experts.
Level 5 handlers and dogs will learn to work together as a defensive unit, incorporating firearms, canine and personal protection skills.
This includes actual live fire drills, with your dog, in a real scenario based setting.
Level 5 dogs and handlers undergo extensive training, and must be up to the task. This includes physical fitness, mental health and the right attitude.

 
Level VI Personal Protection Dog
 

Advanced Dog
Level 6 is for people in immediate danger.
Level 6 could also be for dogs that are protecting a high profile person that has received substantiated threats.
In many cases, Level 6 dogs will work with a security specialist, and not the owner.
Level 6 dogs are Level 5 dogs, adapted for a specific task.
